The Challenge

An urban planning department needed to test how proposed changes to a high-density public square — new structures, bus routes, construction zones — would actually affect pedestrian and traffic flow, before committing to real-world construction.

Our Approach

Accuracy of the digital twin came first, since stakeholder trust in the simulation depends on the base model matching the real square. AI-controlled pedestrians were built to react to layout changes rather than follow fixed paths, so moving a structure or closing a route produces a genuinely different simulated outcome instead of a cosmetic change, with public transport routes integrated into the same simulation.

Key Features

  • Accurate 3D digital twin of the real public square
  • Customizable layouts: move props and construction zones
  • AI-controlled pedestrian simulation that reacts to layout changes
  • Integrated public transport simulation (bus stands and routes)

Outcome

Used by urban planning departments to test the effects of proposed changes and collect stakeholder feedback before construction.
