A car showroom in the browser, in AR and VR
We built a car showroom that opens in any web browser. Buyers pick a car, change its paint, adjust the lighting and finish, then place it in their own driveway in AR or walk around it in VR. No app to download.

Buyers want to see the car before they visit the dealer
Car buyers do most of their research online, but photos and spec sheets cannot show how a car looks in their colour, in their space.
Showroom apps exist, but few people install an app just to look at one car.
The goal was a showroom anyone can open from a link, on a phone or in a VR headset, that feels like standing next to the car.
A showroom that lives in a link
We built a 3D showroom that runs in the browser and switches into AR or VR with one tap.
- 01
Pick your car
Buyers browse a garage of cars and switch between models instantly.
THE CHALLENGEDetailed 3D cars are heavy and can load slowly on phones.HOW WE SOLVED ITWe optimised each model so it loads quickly and still looks sharp up close. - 02
Make it yours
Change the paint colour, adjust how glossy or matte the finish looks, and move the light around the car.
THE CHALLENGEPaint has to look real, not plastic, under every light.HOW WE SOLVED ITWe used realistic reflections from real world lighting, so paint, glass and chrome react the way they do in life. - 03
See it in your space
On a phone, the car appears in AR at full size in your driveway or living room.
THE CHALLENGEAR on the web works differently on every device.HOW WE SOLVED ITWe built on the open WebXR standard, so the same page works across supported phones and headsets. - 04
Walk around it in VR
On a VR headset, buyers step into the showroom and walk around the car.
THE CHALLENGEMoving between screen, AR and VR usually means three separate apps.HOW WE SOLVED ITOne web page handles all three, so there is a single link to share and update.
One link, every screen
A sales team can send one link that lets a buyer configure a car on their phone, see it in AR, or walk around it in VR. The same approach works for furniture, machinery or any product people want to see before they buy.
- Opens instantly from a link, no app store
- Paint, finish and lighting controls
- AR on phones and VR on headsets from the same page
